Joshua- 6 months

Well, our little Joshua is now six months old. I can't believe how fast time flies, especially with a second child. It seems like he is doing things much sooner than Nicholas. I guess he sees his big brother and says hey, I can do that too. We had his six month check-up visit this morning and the Dr. was very pleased with his progress. He weighs 17 pounds 15 ounces (50th percentile) and is 26 inches long (30th or 50th percentile, hard to tell what the number is). He also apparently has a big head as it is in the 75th percentile at 17.5 inches. Not that I can tell his head is large or even care about that. Other news is that he is eating "solid foods" now- rice cereal, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, bananas, green beans and mashed potatoes. I have actually even pureed some of them myself. Trying to save some money doing it that way. He is also rolling over both ways, scooting around, sitting up on his own (when placed there of course), grabbing toys and laughing just to name a few things. And to top it off, he is going to keep his blue eyes! Burt wonders how that happened. He must have had some blue eyed relative way down the line is all I am saying. The Dr. says half of our children will be brown eyed and half will be blue eyed. So, if we have six children, it will be three and three. I laughed at him and said, well, that is good to know, but we won't be having six children. Fun times. Here are a few pics of Joshua sitting up and grabbing toys. He loves this new position and is wide-eyed most of the time.

Wow, I can't believe he's 6 months old already! Time sure flies. I guess keeping his blue eyes is a good way to be able to tell him apart from his brother in their baby pictures. :)
