Baby Shower

Sunday after church about 14 dear friends and myself went to lunch to celebrate Baby Boy #3. They showered me with gifts and at the same time we were able to have great food and conversation without any children or husbands around. It was fantastic. What a pleasant afternoon and a fun way to welcome a new baby into the world.

The hostesses and myself
Shea Lea, Amanda, Jennifer

Cute little petit fours. They were delicious.

Hanging out before our lunch arrived.

Opening gifts. Everyone was so generous. Baby #3 will be taken care of that's for sure.

Laura entertaining Ty. I love how his tongue is hanging out along with his belly. Too cute.

Robyn and myself. She took most of the pictures during lunch so I had to get one of her.

Not the best picture since it is out of focus, but at least it will help me remember everyone who was there. The waitress did her best.

Thank you to all my friends for making this a special afternoon for myself and #3. It was a lot of fun and I appreciate everyone's generousity. I am blessed to have you all in my life and treasure the friendships that have been made. This little guy is sure to be loved on by so many and that means the world to me.

Second Easter Celebration

On Sunday, April 11th we had our second Easter celebration at the Roberson's. This was their fifth year hosting families from our church. It is always a blessing to get together with all our friends and celebrate this special occasion. We had six families this year. There was lots of good food and conversation, plus an Easter egg hunt for the children. The weather was beautiful and everyone had a wonderful time. I didn't get any pictures of the food, but here are the Easter egg hunt pictures.

Waiting for the kids to come out.

David was ready to go.
Here come the other "small" kids. They got to go first.

Cullen and Anna Wren

Joshua filling up his basket.

I didn't even realize where Nicholas was until this point.
Nicholas digging deep in the bushes.

Counting eggs to see if we had our limit.

Trying to get a family picture.

I think we were looking at Betsy's camera by this point. Maybe hers turned out with less shadows.

All the kids were very interested in seeing the group shot after it was taken. Gotta love Dawson's cool shades!

Joshua didn't really nap after this fun-filled day so he passed out before we even got him to bed. It was a blessed day indeed.

4 year stats

We went to the Dr. Friday for Nicholas' 4 year old check-up. All is well with our little man. Seeing well, talking great, listened to the Dr. try to convince him to eat veggies, blood pressure great, etc. He was very proud of himself for peeing in a cup, but did not like the two shots he had to receive. He recovered quickly though once he got his prize and we went to get a smoothie. Fun times. So, he is now 42.6 pounds (90%) and is 42 inches (85%). Had to get this in for Grammie :-) He definitely isn't a "small" boy, but at the same time, is not "big" by anymeans. He is just right and we love him for it!

Who needs a bed anyway?

Apparently not Joshua. He doesn't do this all the time, but enough to make me wonder if we just put some blankets on the floor if he would sleep there. He is so silly. Usually we move him to his bed when we check in on him, but the day he fell asleep at naptime on the floor I left him there. He did have some cushioning under him anyway and a nice soft dog for a pillow. It is harder for me to pick him up from the ground when he is dead weight these days. What a cutie, strange, but cute nonetheless.

He did not sleep in the kitchen, but he did bring his pillow and blanket in there himself and pretended. Not sure where he got that idea from. He will also do this under a chair.

He woke up in the middle of the night and ended up here.

He finally gave up and went to sleep after apparently playing with his trucks. Notice the proximity to Nicholas' bed- he stayed asleep while Joshua played.

The day he napped on the ground.
